Delhi Schools Reopen: After 10 Long Months Classes Commence For 10th And 12th, Check New Safety Rules

<p><strong>New Delhi: </strong>Delhi schools reopen for students of class 10th and 12th today as board exams are fast approaching, the Delhi Government issued an order on January 13<sup>th</sup> 2021 to re-open schools for practical and pre-board exam preparation. While schools are supposed to keep a record of the students attending classes, attendance is not to be enforced.</p> <p>Here are the set of guidelines issued by the government:</p> <ul> <li>No symptomatic staff or student will be allowed in school campus.</li> <li>Students visiting schools will be subject to parental consent.</li> <li>Online classes will continue as per usual, so students who prefer online classes maybe permitted to continue with those.</li> <li>COVID-related precautions, including sanitization of classrooms, wearing of face masks, social distancing will be mandatorily followed.</li> <li>An orientation will be held for students and teachers with physical distancing and hygiene-related guidelines.</li> <li>These classes are for students and teachers to discuss the reduced syllabus, question paper etc.&nbsp;</li> <li>Students will have to maintain respiratory and hand hygine.&nbsp;</li> <li>Schools are to provide emotional and trauma support to students and teachers upon their return to the campus.&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><br />All schools in the national Capital have been physically shut since March last year in order to avoid the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic. This will be the first time after 10 months that students will return to their campuses. According to media reports, Pre-board exams of Class 12th will be conducted between March 3rd and April 15th 2021 and Class 10th they will likely be held between April 1st and April 15th.<br /><br />Board examinations are going to be held from May 4, for which pre-board, the practical exam will also be done, due to which the government allowed the school to open</p>
