<p><strong>New Delhi:</strong> Amid the spike in coronavirus cases being reported in the country, Air India Express on Thursday put forth a new guideline for international passengers travelling to India. The regulation makes it mandatory for them to submit a valid negative Covid-19 RT-PCR test report on the website prior to their departure.</p> <p>The travellers need to submit a report for a Covid-19 test that was taken "not more than 72 hours before departure".</p> <p> <strong>ALSO READ |<span style="color: #e03e2d;"><a style="color: #e03e2d;" href="https://ift.tt/3uxERAz Corona Cases: 229 School Students, Three Staffers Test Covid Positive At Washim Hostel</a></span></strong></p> <p><strong>Detailed steps to follow are:</strong></p> <p>- All passengers travelling to India must carry the original negative RT-PCR test report with the test conducted within 72 hours of the scheduled departure.</p> <p>- Fill in the self-declaration form on the Air Suvidha portal (<a href="https://ift.tt/3pXuRgC> <p>- Upload the negative RT-PCR test report on Air Suvidha prior to departure.</p> <p>- Carry a printout of the self-declaration and PCR Test update made on Air Suvidha while checking in.</p> <p>[tw]https://twitter.com/FlyWithIX/status/1364815558642819072[/tw]</p> <p>Passengers have also advised to download and install the Aarogya Setu app on their phones before boarding their flights.</p> <p>Meanwhile, a total of 16,738 new daily cases have been recorded in India in the past 24 hours. The Health Ministry stated that 89.57 percent of the new cases are from seven states. These are Maharashtra, Kerala, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Chhattisgarh.</p> <p>The Union government has formed high-level multi-disciplinary teams and deputed them to Kerala, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir (UT) to determine the reasons behind the surge in new Coronavirus cases. </p>
