COVID-19 Vaccination Alert! People With Any Of These 20 Health Conditions To Be Considered On Priority In Phase-II | Check List

<p>The Government of India has been running vaccination campaign against the novel Coronavirus across India in several phases for frontline workers, senior citizens. Recently the centre has released a list of 20 co-morbid conditions which will be considered on priroty.&nbsp;</p> <p>As per the latest orders, the people above 45 years of age with 20 co-morbid conditions, including heart failure with hospital admission in the past one year will be eligible to appear for Covid-19 vaccination under India's Covid-19 vaccination programme which is set to enter its second phase on March 1.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>ALSO READ | <a href="https://ift.tt/3sKS2Nd Vaccine In Private Hospitals To Be Capped At Rs 250 Per Dose; Know The Cost Break-Up</a></strong></p> <p>In a statement issued earlier today, the government of India said, "Presence of any of 20 criteria (attached with tweet) will be prioritized for vaccination; it includes heart failure with hospital admission in past one yr, kidney/liver/hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipient/on waitlist, decompensated cirrhosis, end-state kidney disease."&nbsp;</p> <h3><strong>Criteria To Prioritise Candidate For COVID-19 Vaccination</strong></h3> <ol> <li>Heart failure with hospital admission in past one year</li> <li>Post Cardiac Transplant/Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD)</li> <li>Significant left ventricular systolic dysfunction (LVEF&lt;40%)</li> <li>Moderate or severe valvular heart disease</li> <li>Congenital heart disease with severe PAH or Idiopathic PAH</li> <li>Coronary Artery Disease with past CABG/PTCA/MI AND Hypertension/Diabetes on treatment</li> <li>Angina AND Hypertension/Diabetes on treatment</li> <li>CT/MRI documented stroke AND Hypertension/Diabetes on treatment</li> <li>Pulmonary artery hypertension AND Hypertension/Diabetes on treatment</li> <li>Diabetes (&gt;10 years OR with complications) AND Hypertension on treatment</li> <li>Kidney/ Liver/ Hematopoietic stem cell transplant: Recipient/On wait-list</li> <li>End stage kidney disease on haemodialysis/CAPD</li> <li>Current prolonged use of oral corticosteroids/immunosuppressant medications</li> <li>Decompensated cirrhosis</li> <li>Severe respiratory disease with hospitalisations in last two years/FEV1&lt;50%</li> <li>Lymphoma/ Leukaemia/ Myeloma</li> <li>Diagnosis of any solid cancer on or after 1st July 2020 OR currently on any cancer therapy</li> <li>Sickle Cell Disease/ Bone marrow failure/ Aplastic Anemia/ Thalassemia Major</li> <li>Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases/ HIV infection</li> <li>Persons with disabilities due to Intellectual disabilities/ Muscular Dystrophy/ Acid attack with involvement of respiratory system/ Persons with disabilities having high support needs/ Multiple disabilities including deaf-blindness</li> </ol> <p>According to the latest update by the Health Ministry, India has so far administered 1,42,42,547 doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. Of these, &nbsp;66,68,974 healthcare workers (HCW) and 51,19,695 front-line workers have received the first dose while 24,53,878 HCWs have received the second dose.&nbsp;</p>
