Madhya Pradesh: One-Day Lockdown Imposed In Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur As Covid-19 Cases Surge - Check Details

<p><strong>Bhopal:</strong> On the backdrop of significantly rising Coronavirus cases in Madhya Pradesh, one-day lockdown has been imposed in cities of Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur. As per reports, the one-day lockdown in the aforementioned cities will be imposed on March 21 (Sunday).&nbsp;</p> <p>Meanwhile, local authorities have also announced that all schools and colleges in Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur will remain closed till March 31.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>ALSO READ | <span style="color: #e03e2d;"><a style="color: #e03e2d;" href="https://ift.tt/3eW8KVS Govt Extends Night Curfew Timings In 9 Districts, CM Amarinder Singh Warns Of Stricter Measures</a></span></strong></p> <p>The announcements were made after a review meeting with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan earlier in the day.</p> <p>The order by Madhya Pradesh government came days after it imposed a night curfew in Bhopal and Indore from Wednesday night. In its previous announcement, the state government also asked authorities to do thermal screening of persons coming from Maharashtra. Such passengers would have to stay in home quarantine for a week.</p> <p>Madhya Pradesh is one of the eight states showing an upward trajectory in daily new cases of Coronavirus.&nbsp;</p> <p>Madhya Pradesh on Friday reported 1,140 COVID-19 cases, taking its tally to 2,73,097, while seven deaths increased the toll to 3,901. Indore's caseload rose by 309 to reach 63.510, while that of Bhopal touched 46,383 with the addition of 272 cases.
