Maharashtra Issues Fresh Covid-19 Guidelines: Theatres, Private Offices To Operate At 50% Capacity - Check New Rules

<p><strong>Mumbai:</strong> On the backdrop of significantly rising number of daily Coronavirus cases in Maharashtra, the Uddhav Thackeray-led state government on Friday issued fresh guidelines to contain the spread of the deadly contagion. The order also says that all private offices in the state, except healthcare and essential services, will also operate at 50 per cent capacity.</p> <p>In case of government and semi-government workplaces, the head of the office will take decision related to staff attendance ensuring adherence to all Covid-19 protocols. The rules, however, states that manufacturing sector can function will full capacity.&nbsp;</p> <p>Fresh curbs by Maharashtra government comes a day after the state recorded over 25,000 Coronavirus cases, making it the highest daily surge ever since the pandemic broke in March 2020. In terms of recoveries, 12,764 patients were discharged from hospitals on Thursday, the highest in one-day this year with overall recovery standing at 21,75,565. The data also reveals that there are 1,66,353 active cases in the state.&nbsp;</p>
