PSL 2021 Postponed After More Players Test Covid-19 Positive

<p>The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to postpone the remainder of PSL 2021 with immediate effect after seven cases of Coronavirus were reported during the tournament. PCB, in a statement, confirmed that 3 more players from two different teams tested positive for Covid-19. The three players, who tested positive were not part of the teams that participated in Wednesday's PSL 6 double-headers, and will self-isolate for 10 days.&nbsp;</p> <p>[tw]https://twitter.com/thePSLt20/status/1367376876537315329[/tw]</p> <p>Three new cases on Thursday have increased the tally of total positive cases in the bio-secure bubble to seven, of which six were players.&nbsp; An emergency meeting of the PSL organizing committee and franchises took place, in which it was decided to postpone the league.</p> <p><strong>ALSO WATCH | <a href="https://ift.tt/3uS3AzL Pollard Does A Yuvraj Singh, Smashes 6 Sixes Off Akila Dananjaya's Over To Beat Sri Lanka</a></strong></p> <p>The sixth season of PSL began on 20 February 2021. &nbsp;A total of 34 matches are scheduled to be played in the 6-team tournament. &nbsp;Till Wednesday, 14 matches so far have been played in the tournament. Shockingly, despite the bio-secure bubble, players are testing positive for coronavirus infection.</p> <p>The first was reported on March 1, when Australia's Fawad Ahmed tested Covid-19 positive. The very next day, as per PCB, two more foreign players, along with support-staff member had tested positive.&nbsp;</p>
